The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India, invites citizens to participate in a Logo Design Competition for the Urban Challenge Fund.
The Urban Challenge Fund is a flagship initiative aimed at catalysing large-scale investments in India’s urban sector. It is designed to support cities in undertaking transformative projects across key focus areas such as Cities as Growth Hubs, Creative Redevelopment and Water & Sanitation. The Fund seeks to drive reforms-led urban development, enhance financial sustainability of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), and promote climate-resilient, citizen-centric infrastructure.
Through this competition, MoHUA aims to promote Janbhagidari by inviting creative and innovative logo designs that reflect the vision of India’s urban transformation. The selected logo will be adopted by the Ministry for official and promotional use.

Participants should aim to capture the following essence in their designs:
1. Urban Transformation: Reflecting modern, planned, and sustainable cities
2. Innovation & Reform: Forward-looking governance, financing, and planning approaches
3. Resilience & Sustainability: Climate-sensitive and future-ready urban development
4. Inclusivity: Citizen-centric, equitable, and accessible urban spaces
5. Economic Growth: Cities as engines of investment, innovation, and opportunity
All entries must adhere to the following specifications:
1. The logo must be original and unpublished.
2. File format: JPEG/PNG (High Resolution)
3. Minimum Resolution: 300 DPI
4. Maximum file size: 4 MB
5. The design should be scalable and suitable for:
a. Website
b. Mobile Applications
c. Social Media
d. Print Media
e. Banners & Official Documents
6. The logo must work in both coloured and monochrome formats.
7. Ministry will select one design.
8. The winner must provide editable source files (AI, EPS, or SVG) upon selection.
9. There should be no watermarks, signatures, or personal identification in the design.
10. The winning logos will become the exclusive intellectual property of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India.
Submission Guidelines
1. Platform: Entries must be submitted on MyGov.in only
2. Concept Note: A brief rationale (maximum 200 words) explaining the design and symbolism
3. AI Policy: Designs must be original and not generated using AI tools or plagiarized
Entries will be evaluated based on:
1. Relevance: Alignment with the vision & mission of the Urban Challenge Fund
2. Creativity & Originality: Uniqueness of the concept and design
3. Simplicity: Ease of usage across multiple platforms
4. Visual Impact: Aesthetic appeal and memorability
Rewards & Gratification
1. Cash Prize: ₹50,000/-
2. Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs
