“Setu Bharatam” is an ambitious program to ensure Railway Crossing less National Highways by 2019. In order to ensure safe and smooth flow of traffic, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has envisaged a plan for replacement of all the Level Crossings on National Highways by ROBs/ RUBs and replacement/ widening/ strengthening of weak and narrow bridges under” Setu Bharatam”.

Under this program, a total number of 208 Level Crossings have been identified for replacement by constructing ROBs in time bound manner. In addition, approximately 1500 bridges shall also be improved by replacement/widening/ strengthening in a phased manner.

Ministry of Road Transport & Highways invites entries from the public for suggesting Logo for “Setu Bharatam”

Last date for submission of entries: 31st May, 2016.

Selected entry will be awarded cash prize of Rs. 25000/- (Rs. Twenty Five Thousand only)

Symbolism in this logo: 1. As suspension bridge is shaped like India's Map (approx., not to scale) 2. The sun sybolizes the rise and progress of India. 3. Pillars are in colors of Tiranga 4. The main cable and road are in the color of Ashok Chakra on Tiranga 5. Small waves (in color of Ashok Chakra on Tiranga) are shown to give clearer shape to the symbolic map. 6. The texts (Setu Bharatam, in Hindi and English) are located to show Lakshadeep and Amdaman and Nicobar Islands symbolically.

Logo crafted to match the global level and also the government official logo feel. All text and graphics in logo is hand crafted and exclusively designed.While crafting this logo i kept its appearance in mind, it is bold, can be seen from very far, colour combination is according to nature of department, very appealing. Logo itself explaining their nature of work and delivering good vibes and also developing faith in citizen's mind for department.

Its a very ambitious project which will save the time,safe the life.it'll save the money also bcz time is money.setu means bridge which will join the hearts with pleasant colour yellow-a colour of friendship bcz we want to make relation/friendship not only to Indians but also foreigners. It may b twisted but always it'll arrive people straight to final destination calmly.It provides relax to travellers in both road and track also. Thanx
