Discussion in Round 3 of the "Smart City Mission" City Challenge, as part of the process, Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation is organizing a Discussion Forum on “Draft Smart City Proposal” prepared taking into account citizens priorities and aspirations for Bhagalpur city.

In the past few months we all have worked in conjunction towards making Bhagalpur a Smart City. The citizen feedback received at various stages of this competition have been carefully analysed to articulate the vision, goals and now the projects proposed in the Smart City Proposal.

Citizen interactions, expert opinions, and deliberations by departments have all contributed to developing this Smart City Proposal. Before the proposal is submitted to MoUD for its kind consideration, all citizens of the city are invited to give their feedback on the proposal developed.

Just as ice cream cones were invented to do away with ice cream cup trash; most food could be innovatively packed and delivered in edible containers, thus reducing waste. Strategic private-public alliances to achieve smart city dream should be welcome. The existing resources as well as constraints of Bhagalpur have been carefully studied and leveraged.
