Place enough rubbish bins in the city for the proper dispose of litters and also a proper way to collect domestic garbage. Proper control and recycling of plastics. Clean roads without bumps and potholes.

conservation of the lakes and ponds of the city ( many of them vanished over a period of time due to anthropological and natural reasons)
proper planning for parking of vehicles, pedestrian pathways , roadside green trees, separate pathway to cyclist...
well connected rural and urban areas of city through roads, transport and internet

separate institute to research on herbs available on the city
well treated drainage system ( at many places drainage are mixed into river ponds and lakes in the city)
rebuilding the banks of river thamirabarani.
internal water transport ( which was there before 1930's )

the clean river (polluted by industries on its banks such as brick making, paper boards and workshops, etc )
separate lane for heavy vehicles , four wheelers two wheelers....
maximum job opportunities for local people by separate arena for msme sectors improvement
qualified education - govt schools with high infrastructure development, prestigious higher education institute, research based training...

the city is known for its historical importance inmemorable time... the art of making smart cities should be achieved with
the straight lanes of roads
maximum utilisation of land available,
development of green roads ( by cultivating indigenous trees such as Arjuna, serunthi flowers, some public garden)
the clean bypass roads to the main cities,

We could look into the promotion of bee farming in the state this would not only create a source of income in the state, it would also create items for export (honey, wax based products) and improve the quality of crops in the fields surrounding the bee farms
