The one and the only perennial river of Thamirabharani in south is getting polluted by mixing so many effluents and the water is getting more contaminated and becoming prone to more diseases.Tirnelveli is having lot of agriculture lands but it is not properly utilised. Educate the young people for organic farms and utilise them for agriculture purpose than for sickle culture. And make them to realise agriculture is the only best way to earn money and provide employment opportunities.

There are few important things to be done in Tirunelveli. First and foremost thing is the drinking water should be purified instead of supplying directly from Thamirabharani river. Second thing is to make the people become road conscious. Third though Tirunelveli city is called Oxford of South, but employment opportunities are very poor here and people have to migrate to some other places for employment opportunities in spite of ample resources. SEZ to be geared up to provide more jobs.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Deepak Chopra and Beatles are his followers. He has an architecture institute and has world wide projects with Vaasthu and a TV channel dedicated to Vaasthu. Why dont we take his help in planning a Vedic City http://www.vediccityplanning.com/ http://www.vediccityplanning.com/institute/worldwide-projects/ http://www.vastutv.com/ http://www.vastutv.com/

One problem all cities in India face is the gradual decline of footpaths that discourage citizens from walking for distances of 1-2 km. The benefits to health and environment is well known but a major deterrent is non availability of space especially in older parts of a city.
I have a suggestion: To construct elevated travelators to connect places of public transport to interiors within 2-3 kms. It is possible to minimize the energy cost by also providing solar panels for the roof.

People should be encouraged to use solar power at least in places of apartments or colonies though not possible for whole city.small parks can be made in the mid of residential areas.since agriculture forms the major part, people should be trained to make use of their land at least for domestic consumption. It can be of any type either a Terraced farm or a home made small organic farm according to their space availability.language and soft skill training needs to be given to students.

problems chronic shortage of water supply(eventhough there is perennial river),can create park near new busstand, traffic congestion is more(need of good road) ,no toilet near public places (if it was not maintained well),most of the month sunshines well in tirunelveli(need of solar power plant),real estate business not yet became stronger there(by giving red carpet to international company and making easy access to land)
