3 aspects related to toilets: Construction, Usage, and Maintenance. 1.Appropriate models of Construction are already known (e.g:dry toilets, toilets using less water) & cost is also affordable so no major issues here. 2.Proper Usage of toilets is a big problem. Educating kids about responsible & proper usage is very important (mandatory instruction 1 or 2 times a month). 3.Employ dedicated staff to Maintain toilets and hence sanity & health. Recognize their efforts & pay them dignified salaries.

Students, especially girls should be given a training on sanitation so that they can keep the toilets clean. Information about proper use of toilets, water, dustbins and serious effects of lack of hygiene should be given from childhood because it is easy to follow anything in childhood, children can quickly accept the change. Sometimes the problem is lack of water so modern ways of storing water should be used. For that matter, rainwater harvesting should be compulsory for all the educational bildin

Implementation of WHO programmes like inclusion of hygiene education in school curriculum, providing separate toilet facilities for girls and boys. Provide sanitary education campaigns in schools. Provide incentives to schools and teachers for hygiene promotion, take advice of experts or professionals in this field to improve toilet facilities. Encourage sponsors to do more. Privacy of girls should be more protected.

There has been a great solution to the problem of sanitary pads for rural women by Arunachalam Muruganantham. He underlines that rural women don't have good alternatives to the Pads manufactured by MNCs and a lot of girls stop going to schools on puberty. He has developed technology for making a machine that can produce these very cheap. http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-26260978

Public Schools Implement Task list for cleaning toilets, every task on the list should have schedule, schedule should be monitored and followed. Automation of the flushing system could be also one of the things that could be implemented. Ideas should be borrowed from he international airports toilets some from india and abroad. how those are kept clean when they are used with high rate. For eg Amsterdam Schipol Airport.

Been observed that the cleanliness is directly proportional to availability of water. if the water is not adequately provided sanitation will be poor. Maintenance is the key to cleanliness as the same time User should feel responsible to keep the place clean and hygienic. Educating teaching importance of cleanliness and providing them task related to cleanliness will improve the hygiene and the sanitation will be improved hand in hand.
